The term ''Self Care'' get's all the buzz on social media but, caring for your mind and body isn't just a trend. With that being said, self care looks different for everyone but, it doesn't have to come with a price tag. Read on to learn about some self care practices you can start and not have to pull out your card for.

1. Start a daily journaling practice

Daily journaling can be a lot of fun with prompts, affirmations and quotes. There are some journals out there that cost money but, most of us have a old notebook laying around somewhere we can use, or even our computers or notes app. Get on there, find some prompts online and DIY it.

2. Go for a walk (without headphones)

If you're reading this blog and live in Los Santos, I know what you're thinking. But, there's many safe areas out of the city and with gorgeous views. Sometimes its nice to just take a walk and take in all of the scenery and sounds of nature.

3. Call a friend who always lifts your mood

Is there someone in your life who just seems to always have the answers and who can make you smile even when it seems like your life is turned upside down? Call them! Sometimes the best form of self care is just a good friend to be there for you. Set aside some time and connect with a friend, family member or whoever your person may be.

4. Indulge in a book, movie, or TV show that makes you feel good

This is bad, but I love a good reality TV show to escape my problems. It really makes me feel like my life isn't all that terrible. Losing yourself in a feel-good show or movie can be an amazing way to turn off for a bit and recharge.

5. Listen to a favorite playlist or podcast

No matter what your mood is for the day, music can provide a really good release. If you're a podcast person, choose one based on what your current mood. (I may be biased but The 50 Shades of Pink Show is really good)

6. Clean up your space

The busier I get, the worst my room is. Usually, that gives me trouble sleeping when I'm in an unclean space. Clutter in your space can directly affect you, so pick up those clothes!

7. DIY a face mask

You can make your very own face masks right at home with ingredients like tea bags! Luckily for you all? I made a blog about this!
