Adapting habits that make us feel good, be kinder to ourselves and assist us with getting things done is so important. Read on to learn about a few habits that you can adopt.
1. Make your bed
I know. But seriously, make your bed. It makes you feel good when you're awake to have a clean space to look at, and it's a first small achievement of the day.
2. Read more
Whether it's before bed, taking a break at some point in your day or something you make apart of your ritual, fit some time in to read.
3. Say “no” when you mean no
How often are you avoiding saying ''no'' when its what you really mean? Finding yourself doing favors? Picking up shifts for others when you already have plans? A powerful thing you can do for yourself is say what the f*ck you mean. Master the art of saying ''NO'' to people, put yourself first sometimes.
4. Give yourself deadlines
No matter how small or specific, give yourself a realistic and specific deadline. We have to hold ourselves accountable! If you're still having trouble, let someone close to you know about your deadline that will hold you to it!
5. Set your alarm a few minutes earlier than you need to
Do mornings feel like a race against the clock? Or like a episode of Hell's Kitchen? Consider getting up a litttleee bit earlier, have a slow, calm start to your day. Having that control over your mornings is amazing. Waking up just 10-20 minutes earlier can help you be more in control.
6. Eat more leafy greens
Getting to a healthier you isn't always dramatic. You can do a series of small habits to snowball your way into a healthier lifestyle. Don't focus on so much cutting back, instead, add some things like leafy greens to two meals a day. Throw some spinach in an omelette or some kale or broccoli into your pasta sauce. Order a salad! The possibilities are endless.
There are so many habits that could go here, but I just can't fit them all. Let us know some of your favorite's in our FB comments!
