If you're anything like me (and probably most people) then you've experienced that feeling when you get home from work and you just collapse onto your bed/sofa. After staring at a screen all day in my case, it can be hard to feel motivated to do anything else. But, just taking those few minutes to rest and unwind after a work done will set the tone for the rest of the night.
1. Take your eyes off screens
If you're a person who's job revolves around being online, take a break away from all of those screens. This can cause some serious dry eye, strain and headaches. Try to engage in something that doesn't require a screen, maybe a nice book or a podcast (with the screen away.)
2. Wash the workday away
A relaxing bath or shower after work can make all the difference. If you don't wanna get in the tub, get yourself some shower steamers, a nice body wash, make it fancy and enjoy yourself.
3. Head outside
Spending time in the outdoors has shown to have many positive benefits. I'm not saying you have to run a marathon or anything, but if you have a balcony, a porch, a backyard? Stand or sit out there for a bit, get some fresh air. Especially if you've been cooped up in a building all day.
4. Have a nice dinner
I know, we don't wanna cook when we're home from work. But, it's really important! Meal prepping is also an option! Here are some recipes that I've done that can be whipped up pretty fast!
