5 Signs You’re Not Drinking Enough Water💧

We all know how important water is. But, it doesn't mean we're always drinking enough. Life get's busy, we forget our water bottles, the list goes on. Now is the time to change that, recognize the signs and make sure we get our proper water intake.

1. You have a dry mouth (including bad breath), skin, and lips

When we're losing more fluids than we're taking in the skin, lips and mouth are the very first that will feel those effects. If you're noticing dryness in your mouth or face you may be dehydrated. Get to sipping!

2. You feel tired often or may experience brain fog

Middle of the day and feeling sluggish? Step away from the coffee, reach for some water instead. Fatigue and brain fog are super big signs of dehydration, but we often tell ourselves that we need caffeine to remedy this.

3. You get super hungry between meals

Growling stomach? Lightheaded-ness? You may think that means it's time for a snack, but they are also symptoms of your body telling you to give it water. Thirst and hunger symptoms can often be confused for one another. Drink some water before reaching for a snack and see how your body reacts.

4. You’re constipated and/or have dark-colored urine

One of the most obvious signs of lack of water intake is your urine color. Dark urine usually means you need more. Urine should be a pale yellow. If you're constipated, dehydration is a likely culprit, try drinking some water to see if it relieves those gut symptoms.

5. You get a lot of muscle cramps

Muscle cramps can occur when you're not properly hydrated. If you're experiencing this cramping for unknown reasons? Hydrate or work on your electrolyte intake.

Easy Ways to Increase Water Intake

1. Get a cute water bottle and keep it with you ALL THE TIME

I think this is genuinely the best way for us girls to drink water. We love cute things. Get something that makes you happy, that you see as an accessory and keep it filled!

2. Flavor your water with fresh fruit

Sometimes plain water just isn't it. Try some fruits like strawberries, lemon, kiwi with some mint and cucumber.

3. Drink water for every caffeinated beverage

After any caffeinated drink, simply drink a glass of water, it'll make a big difference if you're a mainly caffeine drinker.

4. Finish a full glass of water with each meal

If you're one of those people who NEED something flavored, you can still have that! Just also have your glass of water ready to go, kind of like number 3.
