Sometimes we get so stuck in our normal routines that we can forget to sustain our relationships. We're all busy, overworked, anxious and stressed, but these are some simple things you can do.


1. Do one thing you did when you were first dating

Think back on the routines you and your partner had at the beginning. Maybe more compliments, dressed up more, creative dates? This week, let's bring back one of those old rituals to spark those butterflies.


2. Ask “how was your day?” every day

This is a simple thing that we can often forget to do. But, it's so important to let your person know that you're thinking about them and are genuinely interested in hearing about how their day went.


3. Schedule sex

I know. Everyone just said ''What!?'' I know it can make it seem like it'll take the spark away and turns it into a chore. But it's a way to prioritize your intimacy if you're both busy individuals. Plus that anticipation? Whew! 🔥


4. Apologize before you “need” to

Think of some ways recently (if there are any) that you could've been a better partner but fell a little short. ''I'm sorry i haven't done my fair share of chores this week'' or ''I'm sorry I haven't been a great listener this week'' can go a long way.


5. Celebrate something

Even if it's not an event coming up, your relationship deserves a good celebration. Take this week to do a work celebration, a ''corny'' monthiversary like you used to, or just your lives together. Pop some champagne, cook a meal, have fun!
